Tips to Memorize Quran

Wake Up for Your Fajr Prayers

First and foremost, get up early in the morning. Perform your Fajr prayers, and then instead of reading the morning newspaper or listening to the morning news on TV or radio, we recommend that you use that time to memorise the Quran.

There is also a well-known adage that the optimum time for memory recall is in the morning. As a result, whatever lesson or passage you need to remember, begin early in the morning.

Divide your lessons into little pieces of learning material

Learning the Quran is a time-consuming task that needs a great deal of patience. We recommend that you split your study material into tiny chunks that you can learn in a reasonable period of time.

It is not possible to complete two or three pages of study in a single day. Every person has a different memory rate and attention span, therefore we suggest taking 3 to 4 verses at a time. However, if you have a strong ability to remember and memorize information, you may increase the number of verses in your given learning assignment.

Familiarity Technique Adaptation for Learning

While you may be acquainted with certain verses from your salah, others may be new to you and may need a little more work. You may use the familiarity method to do this. Let us walk you through this method if you're unfamiliar with it. What you can do is choose a new verse to learn, write it down to commit yourself to the learning process, and memorise it.

Depending on your learning choices, you may compose one or four verses.

Keep the study material with you at all times and repeat it throughout the day.

While you may set aside time to learn the Quran, you can also record those verses on your phone and read them whenever you have spare time.

The great thing about modern technology is that many Quran study apps may assist you in memorising your verses. These apps allow you to read the Quran by splitting it into surahs. You may also study the Quran by downloading chapters and surahs.

Recite your new learned verses in Salah

It is said that you should practice what you teach, therefore whatever passages you have learned, repeat them throughout your prayers as well.

Track your Lesson Plan

When you first begin memorising the Quran, you typically split it into lessons and devise a strategy. If you are enrolled in an online Quran academy, you may request a plan from them as well. If you have an instructor, they will keep track of your progress and keep you on target. You can perform this without a teacher if you don't have one.
