| Learn the Qur'an Effectively |
Many Muslims claim that the inability to locate a teacher is
a barrier to studying the Qur'an. Mostly because there aren't many competent Quran tutors where they reside.
However, technology has made things a lot simpler for us
these days, and you will discover that you may learn Quran online just as efficiently as you would in a traditional
physical classroom.
Granted, online learning has a poor reputation since many people
believe it is not as successful as attending a class, but the truth is that if
you approach it correctly, you can learn just as well online as you would in
person.
Consider all of the internet hacks, techniques, and how-tos
you've learnt. And all the ways in which this knowledge has altered your life.
If you implement some of the following suggestions to your online Qur'an
learning, you will find it to be a pleasant and gratifying educational
experience, in sha'a Allah.
Make and Purify Your Intentions
In Islam, actions are evaluated by their intentions. So ask
yourself, "Why do I want to learn the Qur'an?" Whatever a Muslim
undertakes should be done entirely for the purpose of Allah (ta'ala), so that
it may be considered and rewarded as an act of devotion.
If we wish to study the Qur'an effectively, whether offline
or online, we must first have genuine intentions. Make your intents for
learning the Qur'an exclusively to please Allah (ta'ala) and not for any other
reason. We should not study the Qur'an to make others envious of our tajweed
abilities, the number of chapters we have memorised, or the beauty of our
recitation voice.
Even after you begin your studies, it is important to
evaluate yourself often to ensure that you are still remaining loyal to your
goals and not allowing shaytaan's whispers to lead you wrong.
Seek Authentic Sources and Teachers
One advantage
of studying the Qur'an online is the possibility of encountering fraudulent
individuals who do not have genuine knowledge but claim to have it. Our faith
cautions us against disinformation because it may lead us to think and do
things that are contradictory to Islamic principles.
Do your
homework before enrolling in an Arabic or hifdh lesson online. Find student
groups on Facebook or other social media platforms and solicit their feedback
on the course. Read course evaluations and chat with real-life individuals you know
who have taken the course.
While it is
essential to seek information, it is even more important to ensure that you are
getting your knowledge from individuals who have been proved to follow the
Qur'an and Sunnah as they should be followed.
